Alexes presents at GCURS 2025!

One of our Gallagher Lab undergraduates, Alexes Thurman, had the exciting opportunity to travel to Houston, Texas, to present her research at Rice University. Alexes participated in the 2025 Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium (GCURS), where she delivered a 15-minute oral presentation on her thesis work, received valuable feedback on both her research and presentation style, and spent the weekend networking with other students and faculty. Her talk, titled “Utilizing Divalent Metal-Adduct Ions for Distinguishing Anomeric Carbohydrates Using Tandem Mass Spectrometry,” was presented in the Inorganic and Materials Chemistry (Organometallic Chemistry) section of the conference.
