Trivia and Mario Kart!!
Last week (July 10) we had our last social event with our graduating members: Ana, Jess, and Michael. They decided that they wanted to have a trivia/game night, so that’s exactly what happened! We asked them to pick one topic that would be a round of trivia, and they did not disappoint!
Round 1 was chosen by Jess: 2000s Disney Channel Movies/TV Shows
Round 2 was chosen by Ana: 2000s-Present Action/Thriller Movies/Actors
Round 3 was chosen by Michael: Fish
Round 4 was international monuments (Lyssa/Maddie chose this as a wildcard when making the game)
Teams were drafted and in a very close battle, the following results ensued:
1st place tie: Team Jess (Jess, Dr. Gallagher, Pedro) and Team Michael (Michael, Stewart, Rabin) - 44 points
3rd place: Team Ana (Ana, Holly, Monir) - 36 points
After a fun game of trivia, we continued out game night with Mario Kart on the Wii!! Some of our international students had never heard of or played it before, so it was super exciting to teach them a new game! In return, they’ve offered to bring some games from their home countries and teach the domestic (US) students how to play at our next game night! :)
Overall, it was an amazing evening to hang out with our friends and enjoy being in each other’s company while also celebrating the success of our lab mates.
