San Diego ASMS 2026
The Gallagher Lab had an amazing time at ASMS 2026! This year, the 74th Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics took place in San Diego, California from May 31 - June 4th. We spent time presenting our awesome science, networking with professionals in the mass spectrometry field, and gaining skills and insights into new techniques to further our education. Over the course of the week, our lab presented four posters and and three oral presentations listed below! We can’t wait for next year!
Oral Presentations:
Lyssa Garber: “EThcD enables distinction of Co²⁺-adducted anomeric pentasaccharides within mixtures” - MOH 3:10pm
Michael Cordes, PhD: “Molecular Dynamics Simulations Reveal Competition between Bead Ejection and Charge Residue Models of Ionization for Multi-Domain Nucleic Acids” - TOB 3:30pm
Elyssia Gallagher, PhD: “Visualizing the Ionization of Large Macromolecular Protein Complexes during Electrospray using Molecular Dynamics Simulations” - ThOF 8:30am
Posters:
Maddie Bannon: “ESI polarity impacts the structural stability and gas-phase conformations of protein-ligand complexes” - WP 647
Alexes Thurman: “Ligand field stabilization energy of divalent transition metals influences fragmentation of anomeric carbohydrates” - ThP 125
Holly Wilson: “Ion intensities of Co(II)-adducted sialylated glycans increase in the presence of formic acid during electrospray ionization” - ThP 126
Rabin Budhathoki: “Identifying methylation sites in MCF7 cell line using fractionation and hmSILAC based proteomics” - ThP 696
