The Gallagher Lab Heads to Baltimore for ASMS 2025!
The Gallagher Lab had a great time attending the 73rd ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics in Baltimore, Maryland. We presented five posters and an oral presentation throughout the week! We had an incredible time talking about our research and connecting with other scientists throughout the week! We cannot wait to go again next year! Listed below are the titles of our research presentations:
Oral:
Holly Wilson: “Distinguishing 3-Sialyl-N-acetyllactosamine and 6-Sialyl-N-acetyllactosamine by Combining Co2+ Adduction and Electron-Transfer higher-energy Collisional Dissociation”
Posters:
Jess Conforti: “Confidently Detecting Methylated Peptides in MCF7 Cells using Heavy-Methyl SILAC and Enrichment by Strong Cation Exchange”
Michael Cordes: “Examining the Structure of Electrospray Native-Protein Ions upon Transition to the Gas-Phase”
Maddie Bannon: “Noncovalent interactions and ionization polarity impact the formation of nonspecific adducts during native-ESI MS”
Lyssa Garber: “Comparing ionization efficiencies and fragmentation patterns of carbohydrates in various solvent systems using positive- and negative-ion mode mass spectrometry”
Alex Cupples: “The Impact of Protein Charge on Nonspecific Binding in Positive- and Negative-Mode ESI-MS”
